Antioxidant activity of foods and its suppressive effect
on the apoptosis in mice.

Abstract

 To study effect of a series of natural plant polyphenols,widely distributed in foods on the apoptotic pathway,cell proliferation and levels of apoptosis were determined.Some antioxidant foods were evaluated in terms of LDH activity, Caspase3 activity, Mouse Cytochrome C concentrations in the cultured lymph cells treated with the Etoposide.Significant inhibition of cell proliferation and induction of apoptosis were observed in all sample,especially in the taros.These results indicate that diets containing high levels of antioxidant foods may protect Lymph cells against Etoposide-induced apoptosis.
