小学校英語活動とその周辺^＊

A Holistic Investigation of the EFL Educational Needs
in the Elementary School Curriculum

Abstract

Since２００２, many elementary schools have implemented English instruction as part of the Global Understanding（Kokusai Rikai Kyoiku） curriculum. However, most elementary school teachers have had little experience in teaching English; therefore, there is some confusion over what they should do. The purpose of this study is to collect information through a questionnaire in order to better understanding what type of education children need before entering elementary school, and how the elementary school curriculum can be used to better prepare students for junior high school.
